Open USD goes live on four blockchains with business payment support on Stripe

Sep 30, 2026

Open USD became live on September 30, 2026, with Bridge reporting issuance on Ethereum, Solana, Base and Tempo. Stripe announced that businesses could receive, hold, send and spend OUSD through Treasury, operate card programs through Issuing, and make payments through Global Payouts. Its announcement also described support through Crypto Onramp and Payments, with further default availability being rolled out across products. This is a deployment update distinct from Geo's June story about the Open USD consortium and its planned launch. The sources establish product availability rather than measured customer adoption or payment volumes. Open USD in this story refers to the Open Standard initiative; it should not be confused with Origin Dollar, which also uses the OUSD ticker.
