RedNote Reportedly Plans $2.2 Billion, 600 MW Data Center Near Ulanqab

Chinese social media platform RedNote is planning a 600-megawatt, US$2.2 billion data centre in Inner Mongolia, targeting delivery in the first quarter of 2027. The project, which may be built in the renewable-energy hub of Ulanqab, aligns with China's projected 4 trillion yuan national computing network expansion. RedNote has held talks with VNET, while the National Development and Reform Commission pledged support for such private investments.
