U.S. Patriot missile stockpiles critically depleted amid Iran war and Ukraine conflict

The U.S. war in Iran has critically depleted key air defense and offensive missile stockpiles, with Patriot interceptors down by two-thirds and THAAD inventories halved. While President Donald Trump and the Pentagon publicly deny any shortages, the administration has requested $116 billion in funding to replenish stores. Meanwhile, these shortages have severely impacted Ukraine, where depleted air defenses failed to stop a deadly Russian missile strike on Kyiv, killing at least 17 people.

Patriot interceptor stockpile depletion
