Software startup Temporal has raised $550 million in a late-stage funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, more than doubling its valuation to $12.55 billion in just seven months. The funding comes amid an AI venture capital boom, where AI companies captured 86% of U.S. venture deal value in the first half of 2026. Temporal, which helps applications and AI agents recover from failure, has seen its annualized revenue run rate surpass $250 million, serving over 4,300 customers including OpenAI, Nvidia, and JPMorgan Chase.
