Fortitude orders $31.5 million in Bitmain miners to boost Zcash mining capacity by 145%
Fortitude, a wholly owned subsidiary of Digital Currency Group backed by Barry Silbert, has agreed to purchase 9,000 Bitmain Antminer Z15 Pro miners for $31.5 million. This acquisition is expected to increase Fortitude's Zcash mining capacity by 145% to 12.8 GSol/s, representing over half of the network's current hashrate. The company plans to deploy these miners across sites in four states and is preparing to go public on the Nasdaq through a merger with HeartSciences.
