Chinese autonomous driving firm WeRide is targeting expansion into Australia, South Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia, driven by a 164% year-over-year surge in Q2 2026 overseas revenue. CEO Tony Han confirmed regulatory talks in Australia and plans for right-hand-drive robotaxi services in Singapore and Hong Kong. The company, which narrowed its Q2 EBITDA loss by 8.1%, aims to deploy 5,000 Level 4 vehicles by the end of 2026 and targets full-year break-even by 2029.
