Qodo, a New York-based code verification startup founded by Itamar Friedman in 2022, raised $70 million in Series B funding led by Qumra Capital, bringing total funding to $120 million. The company addresses a critical gap in AI-driven software development: while AI coding tools generate billions of lines of code monthly, 95% of developers distrust AI-generated code and only 48% consistently review it before deployment. Qodo builds AI agents for code review, testing, and governance that factor in organizational standards and system-wide impacts, recently launching Qodo 2.0 as a multi-agent review system. The startup ranked first on Martian's Code Review Bench with 64.3%, more than 10 points ahead of competitors, and serves enterprise customers including Nvidia, Walmart, Red Hat, Intuit, and Texas Instruments.
