Venture capital firm Accel has raised $3.5 billion in new global funds, including an oversubscribed $550 million India fund closed within weeks. The coordinated raise also allocates $1.35 billion to a global expansion fund, $800 million to the US, and $800 million to Europe and Israel. Accel plans to begin deploying the new India capital in 2027, focusing heavily on the AI application layer, fintech, and advanced manufacturing, driven by a notable rise in the quality of Indian startup founders.
