Michele Tafoya wins Minnesota Republican Senate primary

Michele Tafoya, a former NBC NFL sideline reporter, won the Minnesota Republican U.S. Senate primary on August 11, 2026, tallying more than 52% of the vote in a crowded field. She secured the nomination despite losing the Minnesota Republican Party endorsement to veteran Adam Schwarze. Other notable primary candidates included 2024 U.S. Senate nominee Royce White and retired Navy officer Tom Weiler.
