Global HR and payroll platform Deel has acquired Israeli deepfake detection startup Clarity for an estimated $45M-$50M. The acquisition, Deel's 15th overall and first in Israel, comes as AI-driven hiring fraud surges, with Gartner projecting that 25% of candidate profiles will be fake by 2028. Deel, which recently surpassed $1.5B in annual recurring revenue, will integrate Clarity's technology to enable continuous identity verification from onboarding through daily IT access.
