UK military faces operational cuts as Defence Chief warns of funding shortfall amid political crisis

UK defence funding shortfall

▪The ratio of UK defence spending on resources versus capital has shifted from 80/20 two decades ago to 60/40 today, and is projected to be 50/50 by 2030.
▪Prime Minister Keir Starmer noted that defence spending was increased last year from 2.3% to 2.6% of GDP.
