Robinhood Launches Layer 2 Blockchain Mainnet With Tokenized Stocks and DeFi Products

Robinhood has launched the public mainnet of Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2 blockchain designed for real-world assets and DeFi. The expansion includes the global rollout of 24/7 Stock Tokens in over 120 countries, excluding the U.S. Additionally, Robinhood is introducing Morpho-powered decentralized lending yielding 7% APY for U.S. users, expanding perpetual futures in Europe, and preparing to launch AI-driven Agentic Accounts for U.S. crypto traders.

Robinhood Chain mainnet launch

▪Robinhood Chain is designed to be permissionless, AI-native, and purpose-built for real-world assets and decentralized finance primitives.
▪Robinhood launched the public mainnet of Robinhood Chain, an Ethereum Layer 2 network built using Arbitrum's technology stack.

Stock Tokens global availability

▪Robinhood launched Stock Tokens, enabling eligible users in more than 120 countries to trade tokenized debt securities 24/7 on Robinhood Chain.
▪Stock Tokens are issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited and provide economic exposure to underlying securities without granting legal or beneficial rights.
▪Stock Tokens are not available to residents of the United States, and are restricted in Canada, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.

DeFi protocol integrations

▪Robinhood integrated with decentralized exchange Lighter to offer perpetual futures trading, with Lighter committing $11 million of LIT tokens to the Robinhood community.
▪Pleiades is deploying a proprietary automated market maker on Robinhood Chain to serve as a primary proprietary trading venue.

International market expansion
