Singapore-based Firmus has raised $1.35 billion over six months, reaching a $5.5 billion valuation following a $505 million funding round led by Coatue announced April 7, 2026. The company, originally a Bitcoin mining cooling provider, has pivoted to building AI data centers across Asia and is developing Project Southgate, an energy-efficient AI factory network in Australia and Tasmania. Firmus is using Nvidia's reference designs and will deploy the chip giant's next-generation Vera Rubin platform, which succeeds the Blackwell architecture and is expected to ship in the second half of 2026. Nvidia participated as an investor in Firmus's previous AU$330 million funding round at a $1.2 billion valuation.
