Ukrainian forces launched a wave of overnight drone strikes hitting two major Russian oil refineries: the Bashneft-Novoil facility in Bashkortostan, over 1,300km deep, and the Slavneft-Yanos plant in Yaroslavl, which has a 15-million-ton annual capacity. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized the strikes as 'long-range sanctions' designed to cripple Moscow's wartime economy. The operations also hit two Russian patrol boats and shadow fleet vessels in the Black Sea, while Russia claimed its air defenses shot down 605 drones overnight.
