BNY Partners with Galaxy Digital to Add Crypto Staking to Institutional Custody Platform

On August 4, 2026, BNY announced a strategic partnership with Galaxy Digital to add cryptocurrency staking to its Digital Asset Custody platform. The collaboration allows institutional clients to earn staking rewards on assets held in BNY's custody without transferring them to external providers. Galaxy Digital, an early client of the platform, will provide the staking infrastructure and act as a design partner. The service remains subject to regulatory approval, with no launch date or eligible assets disclosed yet.
