The Kenyan Ministry of Health has signed a five-year, $80 million (KSh10.4 billion) Cooperation Framework with the Beginnings Fund to reduce preventable maternal and infant deaths. Targeting 21 high-burden counties and 200 health facilities, the initiative aims to benefit 6 million women and newborns and avert over 46,000 deaths by 2031. Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale emphasized a coordinated, country-led approach to replace fragmented donor projects with unified investments.
