NAVER, NVIDIA, and Brookfield have announced a proposed expansion of Korea's sovereign AI factory infrastructure at the GAK Sejong data center, with plans to increase the NVIDIA DSX deployment from 55 megawatts to 200 megawatts by 2028. NVIDIA plans to invest $1 billion in NAVER, subject to customary closing conditions and NAVER finalizing at least $9 billion of committed financing separate from NVIDIA's investment. Brookfield has entered into a nonbinding term sheet to fund up to $9 billion, and NAVER will fund the remaining amounts required for the project. The planned infrastructure is expected to feature NVIDIA Vera Rubin and NVIDIA Blackwell platforms and provide production-scale AI compute to Korea- and U.S.-based AI innovators.
