Private equity firm Silver Lake plans to merge French business software provider Cegid and payroll platform Silae in a deal valuing the combined entity at over €10 billion ($11.6 billion). The transaction, expected to close in the first half of 2027, aims to counter AI-driven disruption in the software sector by pooling resources. The combined group will feature a 1,400-person developer team, target €1.6 billion in annual revenue, and operate under CEO Christian Pedersen and Chairman Christian Lucas.
