Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted nine individuals, including a senior Nvidia Corporation manager surnamed Chang and former employees of Super Micro Computer, for allegedly smuggling 74 servers containing high-end B300 AI chips to China via Japan and Indonesia. The August 24, 2026 indictment represents Taiwan's first known crackdown on the black-market trade of advanced AI accelerators, which was designed to circumvent United States trade restrictions.
