On August 6, 2026, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted Russia's border region of Bryansk, killing two civilians and injuring six others. Acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk reported that kamikaze drones struck moving passenger cars in the Suzemsky and Pogarsky districts, killing one driver and injuring another. A separate drone strike in Novozybkov killed a man, injured five people, and damaged a gas station.
