A Russian missile strike on the cargo ship Golden Leo near Odesa killed 10 people, Ukrainian officials said, including nine Indian and Syrian crew members and a Ukrainian maritime pilot. Ukraine’s navy said three cruise missiles struck the Guinea-Bissau-flagged corn carrier on July 19, causing a fire, while eight crew members were rescued overnight. The attack came amid escalating Black Sea hostilities that have reduced Ukraine’s grain-export capacity by about one-third and led Russia to limit shipping through the Sea of Azov.
