At the San Francisco AI Summit on July 24, 2026, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Chung Euisun unveiled a physical AI vision to transition the group from traditional automotive manufacturing into a physical AI solutions provider. To achieve city-level integrated intelligence, Hyundai is deepening partnerships with NVIDIA, Waymo, and Google DeepMind. Key initiatives include purchasing 50,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, supplying autonomous-ready IONIQ 5 vehicles to Waymo, establishing a 30,000-unit U.S. robot production capacity by 2028, and investing 51 trillion won in domestic hubs like the Saemangeum AI Valley.
