T. Rowe Price has launched the T. Rowe Price Active Crypto ETF (TKNZ) on NYSE Arca on July 16, 2026, marking the industry's first actively managed multi-token spot crypto exchange-traded product. Managing $1.89 trillion in client assets, the firm debuted the fund with approximately $15 million in assets. Led by Blue Macellari (Head of Digital Assets since 2022) alongside co-portfolio managers Stefan Hubrich, David Kroger, Sean McWilliams, and Dante Pearson, the ETF dynamically allocates across 5–15 crypto assets drawn from a universe of 15 eligible tokens, benchmarked against the FTSE Crypto US Listed Index. The net management fee is 0.75% (fee waiver in effect until May 31, 2027; gross fee reverts to 0.90% on June 1, 2027). The fund holds spot crypto directly with no leverage or derivatives, and will not initially stake holdings. It is organized as a Delaware statutory trust, not registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940, and listed under NYSE Arca Rule 8.201-E. SEC approval was granted on June 12, 2026. TKNZ brings T. Rowe Price's active ETF roster to 34 products. Tim Coyne, Global Head of ETFs, stated: "As a global asset management firm with a proud legacy of intentional innovation and active research-driven investing, it is a natural step for T. Rowe Price to introduce the industry's first actively managed multi-token exchange-traded product."
