Iran strikes eastern Syria, in first such attack during current war

For the first time since the US-Iran war began, Iran's IRGC launched a strike on Syrian territory, hitting a US special operations command center at al-Tanf, a base the US military had claimed to have vacated in February. The IRGC said the attack, part of the 11th wave of Operation Nasr-2, was in retaliation for seven Iranian soldiers killed in an American airstrike on a garrison dormitory in Iranshahr. Simultaneously, Iran struck US military facilities in Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan. The United States pressed on with its sixth consecutive night of airstrikes against Iran, hitting six bridges in Hormozgan province, Iranshahr Airport, a railway station, and a tower at Chabahar port, while enforcing a naval blockade that intercepted tankers attempting to skirt the cordon. Casualties inside Iran have risen to at least 35–38 killed and over 300 wounded since the current wave of attacks began.
