Solana Releases July 2026 Engineering Updates Across Validator Clients and Developer Tools

Solana Foundation’s July 23, 2026 changelog reported new Agave and Firedancer validator client releases, program SDK updates, and developer tooling published during the preceding week. The Resource and Inclusion Fees Solana Improvement Document was accepted and proposes a future fee mechanism under which 2,500 lamports of the base fee will be paid to validators while another portion, calculated from requested compute units, will be burned. Anza also started a bug bounty program ahead of the planned switch to Alpenglow on Mainnet, while the Foundation said LiteSVM would restore support for the Web3.js framework.

Validator client releases

• ▪In its July 23, 2026 changelog, the Solana Foundation reported that Firedancer had released validator client versions v1.1.2 and v0.1102.40201 during the preceding week.The Resource and Inclusion Fees Solana Improvement Document was accepted, changing how base fees are split and burned on the Solana network.
• ▪Agave modified its proof-of-history record grouping to simplify storage types and improve memory allocation efficiency.
• ▪In its July 23, 2026 changelog, the Solana Foundation reported that Anza had released Agave validator client versions v4.3.0-alpha.2 and v4.2.0-beta.2 during the preceding week.

Program SDK updates

• ▪Solana released updates for multiple JavaScript Software Development Kits, including the Token Program v0.15.0 and Token 2022 Program v0.13.0.
• ▪The Solana Foundation said LiteSVM would restore support for the revived @solana/web3.js framework alongside the newer Kit interface.

Resource Inclusion Fees SIMD
