London Stabbing of Two Jewish Men Declared Terrorist Incident

UK police declared the stabbing of two Jewish men in London's Golders Green neighborhood a terrorist incident after a 45-year-old man with a history of violence and mental health issues was arrested for running with a knife attempting to stab Jewish members of the public. Prime Minister Keir Starmer convened the Cobra emergency committee in response to what London Mayor Sadiq Khan described as part of a series of shocking antisemitic attacks. The incident follows a spate of arson attacks in recent weeks targeting Jewish sites including four Hatzola ambulances, the Kenton United Synagogue, the Finchley Reform Synagogue, and a Jewish charity, with police arresting 26 people. Many attacks have been claimed by Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya, a little-known group believed linked to Iran, with incidents launched since the US-Israel war on Iran began February 28.
