CoinShares launches UCITS platform targeting Europe's institutional investors

CoinShares has launched a new UCITS platform authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland, targeting Europe's €26.3 trillion regulated fund market. The platform bypasses strict institutional restrictions on holding debt-based crypto products, allowing pension funds, insurers, and private banks to access digital assets. To inaugurate the platform, the CoinShares Bitcoin Mining UCITS ETF began trading on Deutsche Börse Xetra on July 21, 2026. Operating on a fixed cost base, the platform is designed to scale efficiently as CoinShares plans future thematic launches.
