Four children aged two and three years old—three boys and one girl—were stabbed to death at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program School in Kampala, Uganda, in a morning attack that occurred before 11:00 local time. A 39-year-old male suspect gained access to the upmarket Ggaba suburb school by posing as a parent seeking enrollment, having previously visited to inquire about admitting a child, then paid admission fees before attacking children with multiple knives. Uganda Police Force detained the suspect after angry parents attempted to lynch him, while ten other children present during the attack were safely returned to their families. Police chief Abas Byakagaba is investigating the suspect's motive and background while urging public calm, as the brutal attack has raised serious concerns about learner safety across Uganda.
