Augustus has raised $180 million in a Series B funding round led by Tiger Global, valuing the startup at $1 billion. Rather than issuing its own stablecoin, Augustus is building an AI-native clearing bank to modernize correspondent banking. Operating on its proprietary Marble platform, the firm supports 24/7 programmable settlement across traditional rails and blockchain networks. Backed by a conditional U.S. OCC national bank charter, Augustus plans to expand direct dollar clearing to emerging markets.
