Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr has been removed as a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) editor following the failure of the BIP-110 soft fork, which he helped write. The proposal, aimed at limiting arbitrary transaction data, triggered a brief minority chain split that quickly froze due to lack of hashpower. Developer Mark Erhardt initiated the removal, accusing Dashjr of abusing his editorial role to favor BIP-110 and neglecting his workload. Dashjr rejected the allegations, calling his removal an unauthorized "abuse of power" by Bitcoin Core.
