Digital Currency Group's Zcash mining subsidiary, Fortitude Mining Holdings, has completed the acquisition of a 12.5 MW facility in Prosser, Nebraska, for a net cash outlay of $4.7 million. The deal expands Fortitude's power portfolio to over 60 MW across seven US sites. Operating with low power costs of $0.045 per kWh, the facility is expected to reduce Zcash mining costs to $40 per ZEC. This expansion comes as Fortitude prepares to go public on the Nasdaq through a merger with HeartSciences.
