Visa acquires fraud-prevention firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion

Visa Inc. has agreed to acquire the AI-powered fraud-detection firm BioCatch for $2.4 billion in cash. The deal will see Visa purchase the company from funds advised by Permira and other shareholders, with the transaction expected to close in the second fiscal quarter of 2027.
