London-based AI infrastructure company Nscale has signed a massive $45 billion, six-year contract with Anthropic to provide AI computing services. Powered by Nvidia's next-generation Vera Rubin chips, the deployment will begin in late 2027 at Nscale's Monarch Compute Campus in West Virginia. The deal requires 460 megawatts of power, highlighting the intense energy demands of Anthropic's agentic AI workloads as the company reportedly prepares for an initial public offering.
