Ethereum developers schedule EIP-8141 for 2027 upgrade, allowing gas fees without holding ETH
Ethereum core developers have committed EIP-8141, known as Frame Transactions, to the network's 2027 Hegotá upgrade. The proposal would enable users to pay transaction fees using tokens other than ETH through native account abstraction, splitting transactions into validation, payment, and execution steps.
