Ethereum developers have scheduled the EIP-8141 Frame Transactions proposal for the 2027 Hegotá upgrade. Co-authored by Vitalik Buterin, the draft protocol change separates transaction authorization, fee payment, and execution. This allows third-party applications to sponsor gas fees, enabling users to transact with stablecoins without holding ETH. The proposal also introduces atomic batching for up to 64 actions and programmable validation to support key rotation and quantum-resistant security.
