Groq has raised $350 million in a Series A funding round led by Disruptive at a $3.5 billion valuation, cementing its pivot from an AI chipmaker to a neocloud infrastructure provider. This transition follows a $20 billion licensing deal with Nvidia in December 2025. Groq plans to expand its capacity from 54 megawatts to over 200 megawatts by 2027, joining rivals like CoreWeave, Nebius, and Crusoe in an aggressive infrastructure race. However, high capital expenditures and heavy debt loads continue to fuel investor concerns over long-term neocloud profitability.
