MetaMask Launches Agent Wallet for AI Agents With Built-In Security Controls and Transaction Protection

MetaMask has launched Agent Wallet, a self-custodial wallet for AI agents to autonomously trade on-chain. It addresses security risks like prompt injection by offering user-defined controls, transaction simulation, and up to $10,000 in protection. The wallet features a restrictive "Guard Mode" and a more autonomous "Beast Mode," both requiring 2FA for suspicious transactions. The launch follows similar AI wallet infrastructure from Coinbase and MoonPay.
