Silicon photonics startup Lumilens has emerged from stealth with over $900 million in total funding, including a fresh $700 million Series C round valuing the company at $5.51 billion. Lumilens is already shipping products to an unnamed major hyperscaler under a multi-billion-dollar agreement, positioning itself as a key Western supplier as the FCC drafts a potential ban on Chinese optical transceivers.
