Midas, a Berlin-based tokenization platform founded in 2023, has raised $50 million in Series A funding co-led by RRE Ventures and Creandum, with participation from traditional finance player Franklin Templeton and crypto investors including Coinbase Ventures and Anchorage Digital. The company, which has achieved over $1.7 billion in cumulative asset issuance and serves more than 20,000 token holders, operates under Liechtenstein's DLT regulatory framework that provides EU-wide passporting rights. Midas will use the funding to launch Midas Staked Liquidity (MSL), designed to enable instant redemptions for tokenized assets, addressing a key liquidity challenge in the sector. The raise reflects growing institutional interest in real-world asset tokenization, which has expanded approximately 80 percent over the past two years, with the EU's MiCA regulation providing regulatory clarity that positions European platforms competitively.
