Pharos Network raised $44 million in Series A funding led by Sumitomo Corporation's venture arm, SNZ Holding, Chainlink, and Flow Traders, following an earlier $8 million seed round and achieving a $1 billion valuation from GCL New Energy's recent investment. The layer 1 blockchain focuses on tokenized real-world assets, targeting a $50 trillion market opportunity with infrastructure designed for regulated financial activity including parallel processing, compliance features, audit trails, and identity verification. Total real-world assets onchain grew from $14 billion to $24.3 billion in early 2026 as institutional interest increases in tokenizing bonds, energy projects, and private credit. Pharos plans to launch its mainnet soon after running a testnet with millions of users, and has partnered with energy firm GCL on solar-backed asset tokenization.
