NYU Langone Receives $70 Million NIH Grant Renewal for Clinical and Translational Science Institute

NYU Langone Health received a nearly $70 million, seven-year renewal grant from the National Institutes of Health to fund its Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the highest level of funding available nationally under NIH's CTSA Program. Since its founding in 2009, the CTSI has supported nearly 5,000 requests and generated more than 1,500 grants and peer-reviewed publications.

NIH Grant Renewal

• ▪NYU Langone will expand CTSI work over the next seven years through five priorities: deepening community-engaged research, broadening access to health informatics tools, training the full spectrum of the research workforce, forging regional and national collaborations, and accelerating clinical trial start-up and completion.

Research Support Services

• ▪The NYU Langone CTSI has supported nearly 5,000 requests since its founding in 2009.
• ▪More than half of the nearly 5,000 requests supported by the NYU Langone CTSI were led by early-career investigators.

Publication Output Metrics

• ▪NYU Langone's network includes the Family Health Centers, NYC Health + Hospitals, and all 11 schools and colleges of New York University.
• ▪Projects supported by the NYU Langone CTSI have generated more than 1,500 grants.
