Broadcom announced major updates to VMware vDefend and VMware Avi Load Balancer as part of VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1, introducing API protection, AI-powered tools, and a distributed firewall claiming 75Tbps throughput to strengthen multi-layer cybersecurity for private clouds.
Broadcom and Samsung Electronics signed a $200 billion MOU through 2030 covering AI chip production, 2nm foundry manufacturing, advanced packaging, and HBM supply. The deal was announced at the AI Summit in San Francisco.

Apple announced a multiyear partnership extension with Broadcom worth over $30 billion that will produce more than 15 billion custom wireless connectivity chips in the United States through 2031. The deal includes expansion of Broadcom's Colorado manufacturing facility and represents Apple's largest U.S. manufacturing commitment to date.
OpenAI announced its first custom-built AI inference processor called Jalapeño, designed in partnership with Broadcom and optimized for running large language models. The chip is expected to be deployed at scale by late 2026 to power ChatGPT and other AI products.
